Description
Whether you live in a small town, where shopping is limited or even in larger cities, many times leather motorcycle chaps are nearly impossible to find in the size that you need.
Chaps normally come in standard “small”, “medium”, “large” or “extra large” sizes because they have either elastic or ties at the center back and a “belt” type closing in the front. The unfortunate part of this scenario is that chaps really need to be “sized” according to the wearer’s “thigh” measurement. We have seen cases where a plus size man has bought the largest size available, and while the waist could be extended with the ties and “extenders”, the thigh area of the chaps were so tight that they were very uncomfortable and actually felt as if they were cutting off the circulation to the legs.
The answer to the “size” dilemma is to make your own custom fitted chaps according to the size that YOU are, not according to a “standard” set of measurements.
This class will teach you, step by step, how to make the chaps according to your own personal measurements, and will also show you how to use a standard commercial pants pattern and alter it to YOUR measurements, so you can make the chaps from that altered commercial pattern. This way, you can choose whichever method you are most comfortable with to create your own custom fitted chaps.
We believe you will find this class the answer to your fitting problems. We must caution you, however, that when your other biker friends see the “personal fit” chaps that you have, you may find yourself taking orders from them for personal fit chaps as well!
